Park in the main lot at Southport Park, located at 7501 2nd Ave in Kenosha. From there, walk south along the Lake Michigan shoreline to reach the dunes. This route starts with a scenic walk to the sand dunes, and offers the most parking.
Located near the intersection of 85th Street and 3rd Ave in Pleasant Prairie, this entrance is closest to the dunes but has more limited parking.
To access, take 7th Avenue to 85th Street. The parking area is just east of 85th Street, near 3rd Avenue. After parking, walk north to access the dunes.
Once at the Dunes, visitors can enjoy hiking along a 2-mile loop trail that winds through the dunes and along the Lake Michigan shoreline and Chiwaukee Prairie, providing opportunities for birdwatching and photography.
