Indoor Facilities

The sprawling sports complex at the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex houses over 300,000 sq. ft. of regional and national competitions year-round. Dedicated on-site concessions are available during major tournaments from locally owned and operated Smar-Tea's, providing a mix of traditional concessions alongside their drink offerings and boba choices.

Fieldhouse

Occupying a vast area of 60,000 square feet, with a wrap-around suspended track above courts, the RecPlex Fieldhouse is called home to many annual events and clubs - including Wisconsin Juniors Volleyball.

Facilities and Amenities:

  • Sport Arrangements: The Fieldhouse can accommodate 8 basketball and 12 volleyball courts. The space can also be configured for Pickleball, Dodgeball, Fencing, and other sports or events.
  • Scoreboards: Eight (8) dedicated scoreboards are available for basketball events.
  • Equipment Arrangements: There is no permanent equipment storage, but teams can request to store gear overnight for multi-day tournaments (prior notice and approval from RecPlex management is required).
  • Hospitality Space: Areas for staff, coaches, and referees are available upon request.
  • Flooring: The playing surface is constructed from Sport Court material, ensuring a premium experience for players.
  • Ample restroom facilities are present to cater to players and attendees.

Ice Arena

The RecPlex is home to two NHL-size ice rinks, solidifying its reputation as a premier venue for ice sports in the region. Having been the chosen venue for renowned events like the Autumn Ice Classic and the CCM Elite Youth hockey tournaments, RecPlex offers facilities that cater to both athletes and spectators.

Facilities and Amenities:

  • Rink Dimensions: Two rinks, both adhering to NHL standard measurements of 85 feet in width by 200 feet in length.
  • Seating Capacity: Ample seating with capacity for 740 spectators in one rink and 350 on the other.
  • Ice Maintenance: Two Zambonis ensure the ice surface remains in optimal condition, with one dedicated to each rink.
  • Glass and nets are in place to protect spectator areas.
  • Locker Rooms: Eight in total, split evenly with 4 adjacent to each rink. Each locker room is approximately 12'x12' and is paired with private bathrooms equipped with showers.
  • Accessibility: Facilities are designed to be handicap accessible, ensuring all guests can enjoy the experience.

Aqua Arena

As the dedicated home for the Pleasant Prairie Patriots swim team and having hosted competitions for Wisconsin Swimming, RecPlex's award-winning pool is designed for both training and competitive events.

Facilities and Amenities:

  • Pool Dimensions: A standard 50-meter length meets professional requirements.
  • Lane Configurations: Options for 10 lane/50 meter or 20 lane/25 meter setups. Includes 22 short course (25 meter) and 10 long course (50 meter) lanes.
  • Heating & Treatment: The pool is geothermally heated and UV-treated for water cleanliness.
  • Timing System: Uses the Colorado Timing System, integrated with a hytec meet manager and a digital scoreboard.
  • Spectator Area: Seating for 600 spectators, with the viewing area situated above the pool.
  • Locker Rooms: Swim teams benefit from dedicated locker rooms with direct access to the pool deck.
  • Hospitality Room: A space designated for event staff, referees, and coaches is available.


Outdoor Facilities

Baseball / Softball Fields

Our recently revamped ball fields are designed to offer a competitive edge and an unparalleled playing experience for your teams, day or night.

  • Six full-lit ball fields total located within Prairie Springs Park.
  • Drainage systems ensure minimal disruptions, even in rainy weather.
  • Fields tailored for diverse play: four Little League Fields, and two 90-foot fields suitable for 13U and above.
  • Authentic dirt turf for that classic baseball feel.

Facilities and Amenities:

  • Concession stands managed by Smar-Tea's during major tournaments.
  • Fields include batting cages, backstops, and dugouts.
  • Although spectator seating is open-air, players can take respite from the sun in the shaded dugouts.
  • Fully equipped restrooms.
  • Children's playground areas near the fields, providing entertainment for siblings and other children in attendance.

Lake Andrea

Lake Andrea stands as a testament to Pleasant Prairie's commitment to aquatic sports and activities. Spanning 110 acres, this natural spring-fed lake has been the chosen venue for esteemed events such as the Central Zone Open Water Championship.

  • Bathrooms: On-site facilities for the convenience of visitors and athletes. Portable restrooms may also be rented for large-scale events requiring additional facilities.
  • Outdoor Showers: Small outdoor shower sprayers are available for guests to rinse off sand after a refreshing swim or a day at the beach.
  • Adjacent trails and paths of Prairie Springs Park make Lake Andrea the perfect spot for triathlon or duathlon events, such as the Wisconsin Women's Triathlon and the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon.

Lake Andrea is more than just a picturesque spot; it's a hub for competitive swimming and community engagement. Whether you're here to compete or simply relax by the water, the lake offers a serene and accommodating environment.

Prairie Springs Park

This 900-plus acre area of recreational and programming opportunities is home to the spring waters of Lake Andrea and numerious pavilions, and and the Lake Andrea Beer Garden.

  • Prairie Springs Park surrounds Lake Andrea and the Pleasant Prairie RecPlex, offering ample space for athletic programming as well as recreational activities for families and tournament participants.
  • Multiple trails are located within or start at Prairie Springs Park:
    • Lake Andrea is surrounded by a 2.3-mile paved biking/walking path that connects to multiple, longer paths for more distance.
    • Donald Hackbarth Trail and Prairie Farms Trail both have trailheads within the park, offering ample space for running and biking events (stand-alone or as part of a larger triathlon or duathlon).
